At LJP Waste Solutions, our goal since we opened in 1993 has been to help businesses reach their commercial recycling goals. At LJP, we are part of the zero landfill initiative and will help you reach your sustainability goals by recycling your company’s materials and converting waste-to-energy. We accept both common and uncommon recycling products, such as paper, plastic film, plastic packaging, and metal barrels used in industrial settings. We have helped many Fortune 500 companies, as well as smaller businesses take part in the zero landfill initiative and reach their sustainability goals.

All-Encompassing Environmental Solutions

We are not your traditional environmental solutions company. At LJP Waste Solutions, we provide you with a solution and work with you to ensure you see the difference you are making in your sustainability goals. Our team is the best in the industry, and we will show you why with our detailed process. We are a one stop shop for recycling and waste-to-energy needs. We have proved this by taking one of our clients from 11 different waste companies, down to one with our all-encompassing services.

Since we opened our doors in the 1990s, we have been working to perfect our services. We work in an ever-changing industry, and with that understanding, we are continually doing new research to determine the best methods for recycling and conversion. Our team also communicates with you every step of the way and provides you with detailed reports, which show the amount of waste you turned over to us, how much you were able to recycle, convert, and more.

What Sets LJP Apart?

When you choose LJP’s services, our team will come to your facility to study your process, implement a new operation, and help you understand what we can recycle and convert to fuel. Our team has the ability to recycle over 50 common and uncommon materials. Some of the materials we can convert from waste-to-energy or reuse range from common materials like paper, to metal from industrial barrels, to varying types of plastic, and more. We will ensure you have the best team and equipment available to help you reach your sustainability goals.

LJP’s Custom Process

At LJP, we have developed a proven process to help you reach your sustainability goals. This process covers everything from our initial discovery meeting to providing waste audit reports after the fact so you can see the progress you have made. Here is our process:

Tour Your Facility, and Implement a New System

When your company schedules a consultation with our team, we will visit your location, where we’lll host a discovery meeting to learn about your process, who you currently use for your recycling needs, and more. By fully studying your workflow strategy, we can understand exactly where your facility can improve, and how we can help you get there. We don’t just offer a quote and let you make up your mind from there. We will prove to you that we are the best in the business by providing a state-of-the-art solution.

Train Your Employees

After we’ve presented your company with a new and improved waste solutions process, we will come back to your facility to help you get your program running. We will rent or sell machinery to your company to allow you to be as productive as possible. These pieces of equipment can include compactors, 60 inch balers, and more. We will train your employees on how to operate the machines, so waste can flow efficiently through your building. As soon as everyone is fully trained, you can hit the ground running and meet your environmental goals.

Implement Waste Solutions

As part of the zero landfill initiative, we are doing everything we can to keep materials out of landfills. With our process, we will show your team how to separate materials into their respective categories, such as plastics, appliances, containers, shrink wrap, colored shrink wrap, tires, and more. From there, you will put the waste into compactors to condense it. As soon as the materials are condensed, they are transformed into a bale, which is then tied off for transport.

Transport the Waste

After you have baled your materials and transported them to pallets, our semitrucks will come to your facility to collect the bales and transport them to LJP’s headquarters. Once the trucks have arrived, we remove the bales with forklifts to weigh them so we can accurately record everything that comes through our doors. Every little detail goes into a detailed report for you.

Conduct the Waste Audit

We weigh each bale of material to determine how much plastic, paper, cardboard, metal, and more came into our facility. From there, we go through our process of sorting the combustible materials from the noncombustible materials. The combustible material is re-baled and sent to Xcel Energy to be converted into Refuse-Derived Fuel, while the noncombustible materials are sorted into what can and cannot be recycled. Recyclable materials are then re-baled, sold, and transported to recycling factories to be made into new products. The nonrecyclable materials are then managed accordingly.

Distribute Your Sustainability Reports

In order to show you the progress you have made toward your sustainability goals, we provide you with detailed reports that calculate how much waste you gave us, how much was recycled, how much was converted from waste to energy, and more. When you decide to do business with us, we will set a predetermined time for you to receive these reports, which can then be changed in the future if you would like to receive them more or less often.
